Donnie Wahlberg launched the #2020TipChallenge this year.
He inspired other celebrities and those with money to leave a very generous tip, specifically for $2,020 or whatever they could afford, at a restaurant. Tom Selleck decided to take on the challenge just before the year 2021.
While Tom is best known for his role in Magnum, P.I., he currently co-stars with Donnie in Blue Bloods. In the series, Donnie plays Tom’s son.
In a heartwarming tweet, Donnie shared a delightful revelation about his TV Dad, Tom Selleck. It turns out that Tom has graciously embraced the #2020TipChallenge at Elios Upper East Side.
Expressing his admiration, Donnie tweeted, “Dad, I adore you. I didn’t start it, but I’m glad I’m a part of it. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed even a small amount extra this year.”
The touching gesture not only highlights Tom Selleck’s generosity but also emphasizes the collective effort of those who joined in, making it a meaningful and positive experience for all involved.

Donnie also posted a picture of the receipt. “For Elios, I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘tip challenge’ with my sincere hope for a better 2020,” Tom wrote on it. Thank you very much.”
Throughout the year, others have joined the challenge, including singer Harry Styles.
Tom, according to Donnie, never mentioned the challenge, and vice versa. What a fantastic way to help restaurants and their employees during the pand3mic!
