Bridget, 53, will appear in the upcoming indie film California Skate, set in a 1970s roller rink. The cast includes Brooke Shields, Jay Mohr, Henry Winkler, Monique Coleman, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Caleb Baumann, Kayli Tran, Hayden Carson Begley and Elliot Gilbert Adler. Filming has already been completed.
According to IMDb, the movie follows a group of teens experiencing first love, new friendships, and a life-changing night of growing up. Deadline recently shared the first photos from the film. Directed by David Kukoff, the project also lists Bridget as one of its producers.
At the same time, Bridget is preparing for the Blue Bloods series finale, airing Friday, December 13 at 10 p.m. ET. She has been posting behind-the-scenes photos, including shots from the 150th episode celebration and sweet moments with her longtime costar Donnie Wahlberg.
Bridget has spoken openly about the disappointment she and the cast felt over the show’s cancellation, telling People in September, “We’ve had such a good time. We all want to be there. It’s a real loss.”
She recalled watching Donnie film his final scene, with Tom Selleck coming to set even though he’d already wrapped. The moment was deeply emotional for the cast and crew.
Bridget described standing beside Tom during that final scene, saying the experience felt like family: “We were just so thankful… From day one that’s the way it went: ‘Nice to meet you. We are family.’”
She said the love, respect, and deep bond shared among the cast is what she’ll cherish most from her years on the show.
