Blue Bloods Isn’t Over Yet – Here’s When the Reagans Will Return for Their Final Episodes

Fans have known for a while that Blue Bloods season 14 would mark the end of the beloved CBS drama, but if you caught the May 17 episode, “The Heart of a Saturday Night,” and thought it was the series finale – don’t worry. The Reagans aren’t done just yet.

That episode was simply the midseason finale of season 14. Tom Selleck and the rest of the Reagan family will return this fall for the show’s final run as part of CBS’s 2024 primetime lineup. While the exact premiere date hasn’t been announced, Blue Bloods will keep its familiar Friday 10 p.m. ET/PT time slot – right where fans expect it.

CBS confirmed back in November 2023 that season 14 would be Blue Bloods’ last, and revealed that it would be split into two parts. The decision gives the long-running series the chance to wrap up its story properly – something that other ending shows like The Good Doctor and Station 19 didn’t get, as both were shortened due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes.

The first half of Blue Bloods season 14 delivered 10 episodes between February and May, and fans can likely expect a similar number for part two.

“CBS Studios and the CBS Television Network encouraged us to tell our stories in multi-layered narratives that have gone on to resonate with millions of people,” executive producer Kevin Wade said when the split was announced. “We look forward to giving fans an exciting and emotionally satisfying final season, and we are forever grateful for their enthusiasm and loyalty.”

So, while the Reagan family dinners are on pause for now, there’s still more to come. If you’re behind, now’s the perfect time to catch up on all 14 seasons – streaming anytime on Paramount+.
