CBS’ “Blue Bloods” has officially been on the air for a very long time, with 12 seasons of soulful, cop-centric family drama under its belt.

With the 13th season of the famous procedural drama just beginning, one has to wonder not when, but if, “Blue Bloods” would ever end. If that day comes, it’ll be with the entire principal cast, since longstanding stars Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynihan, and others have shown no inclination to leave the Reagan family fold anytime soon.

That aspect alone makes the show’s long primetime run amazing, considering shows that cross the decade mark on networks seldom do it with their main cast almost unaltered. Though she is a few appearances short of fronting all 255 episodes of “Blue Bloods,” and her character has undergone a less-than-noticeable name change, Abigail Hawk remains one of the show’s most committed cast members. And, sure, she’ll very certainly be there for the finale as well.

However, the actress has recently been vocal in her desire for one particular plotline for her character, Detective Abigail Baker, to be pursued further in the future.

Hawk is Curious About Det. Baker’s Personal Life.

Abigail Hawk, known for her role as Detective Abigail Baker on “Blue Bloods,” recently shared her hopes for her character’s development in the series. In an interview with Starry Mag, she expressed a strong desire to explore Baker’s personal life, especially her family dynamics. Hawk believes that delving into Baker’s relationships outside of work, particularly her marriage and role as a mother, would add depth to the show. She emphasized the potential for drama in balancing her demanding job with her family responsibilities, suggesting it would be a compelling storyline for fans. Hawk’s insights offer an intriguing glimpse into the possibilities for future character development on “Blue Bloods.”
