Fans of “Tiva” are reeling after NCIS: Tony & Ziva was canceled after just one season. Paramount+ ended the series following its 10-episode run, despite strong enthusiasm within the NCIS fandom and the long-awaited reunion of Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly.
Announced in early 2024, the spinoff picked up with Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo living in Paris and co-parenting their daughter, Tali. When an att4ck on Tony’s security company forces them on the run, the series leaned into a more serialized, espionage-driven story than the traditional NCIS format.
It also focused heavily on character development, exploring Ziva’s PTSD, Tony’s trust issues, and how their past shaped their present.
While the creators had ideas for a second season, Season 1 ultimately told a complete story. It delivered what fans had waited decades to see: a true Tony-and-Ziva endgame. After years of unresolved feelings and off-screen reunions, the series finally showed the couple together, happy, and openly in love.
Though many hoped for more adventures, the season wrapped up its central storyline and gave supporting characters satisfying conclusions. Losing the show so quickly is disappointing, but for longtime fans, NCIS: Tony & Ziva still stands as a meaningful epilogue-one that honored the couple’s legacy and gave them the ending they deserved.

That’s just plain stupid, the relationship was still being resolved and even with that being tied up there were many more stories to be told. Many more business challenges plus dealing with their daughter growing up, so many ways this could have gone on for many seasons. Different locations, bring in past associations, good or bad, from NCIS.
The most idiotic reason I could think of for cancelling the show. The REAL reason why it did not click was because you put it on streaming mode that requires most of Ziva-Tony fans to pay for it. The long-running series of NCIS despite the current mediocre new cast is still being patronized by loyal and avid NCIS fans because it is on regular channel. Ziva-Tony is a much awaited series, and we loyal fans would have boosted it up if not for this streaming fee.
