Meet the Blue Bloods Cast Members Making Cameos in Boston Blue

CBS’ new cr1me drama Boston Blue kicks off a new chapter for Donnie Wahlberg’s Detective Danny Reagan, as he trades New York for Boston to begin the next phase of his career. While Wahlberg is the only Blue Bloods regular to carry over full-time, the premiere features several familiar faces from the original series.
Sean Reagan (Mika Amonsen)
The episode opens with Danny’s son, Sean Reagan – now played by Mika Amonsen, replacing Andrew Terraciano – working for the Boston Police Department alongside his friend Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner). After heroically running into a burning building, Sean is badly injured and spends most of the episode unconscious, only waking in the final moments.
Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez)
Danny’s former NYPD partner Maria Baez appears briefly in an early scene, confirming that the pair’s long-teased romance has finally blossomed. The moment finds them together in Danny’s bedroom before he receives the call about Sean’s accident, hinting that their relationship comes with some ground rules.
Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan)
Danny’s sister Erin surprises him in Boston, offering emotional support as he investigates the fire that injured Sean. Their sharp sibling banter and deep family bond carry through several scenes, including a family-style dinner hosted by Danny’s new colleague Lena Peters (Sonequa Martin-Green). Erin stays by Danny’s side through the episode’s end, sharing a hospital-room meal with him and Sean – who wakes just in time to join them.
The Boston Blue premiere honors the Blue Bloods legacy while setting the stage for Danny Reagan’s fresh start – and a few familiar family ties that follow him to Boston.
